Eastern Connecticut State University's Women's Center was in need of an art piece for their space that spoke to women's empowerment, activism and support. The Women's Center acts as a safe space for students who need it, and the work itself had to speak to their mission and purpose to the campus community. 

The composition contains a pair of hands being dragged down by shackles and chains that represent the female sex symbol and contain policies and derogatory comments that are used to perpetuate sexism and harmful sexist stereotypes. The combination of unique imagery and typography communicate the harm sexism has on our society and in turn calls for activism and support for women and other marginalized communities.
